Wuxing is the cycle of life explained with the 12 zodiac entities of Chinese astrology combined with 5 elements. The elements have a 'creative' or 'generative' effect on the next element as they proceed every 2 years along the 12 year cycle of the Chinese zodiac.

This astrology is driven by the 'gas giants' of the Solar System. 60 years is considered a complete cycle for human life. If over 60 you start the cycle again.
